Job Summary
- The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, coordinating staff performance, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.
- The Supervisor ensures smooth workflow between the kitchen and service team, resolves customer issues, supports staff training, and assists management in achieving operational goals. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily restaurant activities to ensure efficient and uninterrupted service delivery.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Coordinate between the kitchen, cashier, servers, and customer care team for seamless operations.
- Assign daily tasks, schedules, and workstations to staff.
- Monitor staff performance and conduct quality checks on service delivery.
- Train, guide, and support new and existing employees to maintain high service standards.
- Enforce discipline, professionalism, and adherence to restaurant policies.
- Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure consistency with restaurant standards.
- Ensure portion control, timely meal service, and proper handling of customer orders.
- Conduct routine checks to ensure hygiene, sanitation, and safety compliance.
- Prepare daily operational reports, staff attendance, and shift summaries.
- Assist with payroll inputs, disciplinary reports, and performance evaluations.
- Update management on operational challenges and improvement recommendations.
- Maintain restaurant documentation, checklists, and service logs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- OND / HND / BSc in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in restaurant supervision or hospitality leadership roles.
- Strong leadership, teamwork, and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making ability.
- Solid understanding of food service operations, customer service, and restaurant workflow.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and basic computer applications.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain calm during busy periods.
- Neat appearance, strong ethics, and a professional attitude.
Working Hours:
- Shift-based schedule depending on restaurant operations. Must be available to work weekends,evenings, and public holidays.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: N150,000 per month.
- Additional benefits may include staff meals, performance incentives, and overtime.
