Job Summary
- The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring a clean and pleasant dining environment.
- The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests warmly as they arrive.
- Present menus, explain menu items, and answer customer inquiries.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in regularly and responding to needs quickly.
- Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when necessary.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and portion standards.
- Deliver orders to the appropriate tables and assist customers with additional requests.
- Assist in packaging takeaway or delivery orders when needed.
- Coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff to ensure timely order service.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.
- Support colleagues when the dining area is busy to improve service flow.
- Report any service issues, shortages, or customer feedback to the supervisor
Qualifications & Requirements
- SSCE / OND qualification preferred.
- Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Good memory for menus, order details, and special requests.
- Physically fit to stand and walk for long hours.
- Neat appearance and positive attitude
Working Hours:
- Shift-based schedule depending on restaurant operations.
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
Reporting Line:
- Reports directly to the Floor Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, or Shift Supervisor.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: N60,000 / Month.
- Additional benefits may include staff meals and overtime.
