Job Summary




  • The Waiter is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by welcoming guests, presenting menus, taking orders, serving meals, and ensuring a clean and pleasant dining environment.

  • The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant setting.



Key Responsibilities




  •  Welcome and greet guests warmly as they arrive.

  • Present menus, explain menu items, and answer customer inquiries.

  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen and bar teams.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by checking in regularly and responding to needs quickly.

  • Handle customer complaints politely and escalate when necessary.

  • Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and portion standards.

  • Deliver orders to the appropriate tables and assist customers with additional requests.

  • Assist in packaging takeaway or delivery orders when needed.

  • Coordinate smoothly with kitchen staff to ensure timely order service.

  • Assist in opening and closing procedures of the restaurant.

  • Support colleagues when the dining area is busy to improve service flow.

  • Report any service issues, shortages, or customer feedback to the supervisor



Qualifications & Requirements




  • SSCE / OND qualification preferred.

  • Previous experience as a waiter or in customer service is an added advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Good memory for menus, order details, and special requests.

  • Physically fit to stand and walk for long hours.

  • Neat appearance and positive attitude



Working Hours:




  • Shift-based schedule depending on restaurant operations.

  • Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays.



Reporting Line:




  • Reports directly to the Floor Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, or Shift Supervisor.



Salary & Benefits




  • Salary: N60,000 / Month.

  • Additional benefits may include staff meals and overtime.
