The Internal Audit Assistant will support the internal audit function by assisting in the evaluation of the company’s internal controls, financial processes, and compliance with policies and regulations. The role ensures accuracy, transparency, and accountability across all departments, helping Mshel Homes maintain strong governance and operational efficiency.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist in planning and conducting internal audits across various departments, projects, and branches.

  • Review financial documents, transactions, and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  • Assist in identifying risks, control gaps, and areas for process improvement within the organization.

  • Verify adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Support the preparation of audit working papers, reports, and documentation.

  • Monitor corrective actions and follow up with departments to ensure audit recommendations are implemented.

  • Assist in reviewing project-related expenses, procurement processes, and site operations audits.

  • Conduct spot checks, stock counts, and verification of assets at project sites and offices.

  • Maintain organized audit files and help ensure all documentation meets professional audit standards.

  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Internal Auditor or Head of Audit.



Qualifications & Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

  • 1-3 years experience

  • Basic knowledge of auditing procedures, accounting principles, and financial analysis.

  • Strong attention to detail, integrity, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (an advantage).

  • Good communication and report-writing skills.

  • Ability to work under supervision and handle confidential information responsibly.
