We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chinese Chef to join our team.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in preparing and cooking authentic Chinese cuisines using traditional techniques such as stir-frying, steaming, roasting, braising, and deep-frying.
The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality meals.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Chinese dishes, ensuring rich flavours and attractive presentation.
Execute traditional Chinese cooking techniques, including stir-frying, steaming, roasting, braising, and wok handling.
Develop new menu items and improve existing recipes to enhance customer satisfaction.
Ensure all meals are prepared on time and meet established quality standards.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including ingredient preparation, food storage, and stock management.
Monitor and maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards in the kitchen.
Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness, ensuring proper inventory rotation.
Collaborate with management on menu planning, cost control, and kitchen budgeting.
Ensure compliance with food regulations, kitchen protocols, and company policies.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND / OND qualification
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef or specialty cook in a hotel or restaurant setting.
Strong knowledge of Chinese culinary techniques, spices, and dishes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
