Roles and responsibilities

Mission

• Assist the Technical Manager to maintain BINL Technical Availability above 90%.


• Interface with client with regard to day-to-day activities at the Escravos base.


• Day-to-day support for the technical teams dedicated to the vessel maintenance at Escravos.

Responsibility

• Monitoring the daily tasks of the Escravos technical team.


• Provide the Technical Manager with all the necessary information to enable coherent decision-making.


• Identify opportunities for improvement in Escravos base technical activities.


• Follow the daily planned tasks and assist and instruct the technical teams with all problems and issues encountered.


• Coordinate daily activities of BINL staff and vessels with the client and attend all client interface and security meetings.


• Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for all BINL staff at Escravos.


• Plan and monitor the availability of spare parts, tools, consumables and PPE to maintain the required standards for all BINL staff under his supervision at Escravos.


• Development of training and development plans for technical teams under his supervision to give them the skills needed in their daily tasks.


• Follow QHSE procedures and improve safety during all base maintenance activities. Monitor QHSE compliance of all vessels.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification.

Experiences

• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in the maritime industry.
