The Technical Sales Engineer (Lubricants) is responsible for driving business growth through technical sales of lubricant products to industrial clients and key B2B customers. The role combines strong engineering knowledge with sales expertise to deliver value-driven lubrication solutions, ensure customer satisfaction, and achieve the company’s commercial and technical objectives.



RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES



Sales and Business Development




  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within industrial and commercial segments.

  • Achieve assigned sales targets for lubricant products and services.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, OEMs, and industrial customers.

  • Prepare and deliver persuasive technical sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.



Technical Advisory and Support




  • Provide technical support and product recommendations based on equipment lubrication requirements.

  • Conduct lubrication surveys and site assessments to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with clients to troubleshoot lubrication-related issues and optimize product usage.

  • Liaise with technical teams to ensure accurate formulation, blending, and performance compliance.



Customer Relationship Management




  • Maintain regular contact with customers to monitor product performance and satisfaction levels.

  • Manage after-sales support and ensure prompt resolution of technical or supply issues.

  • Foster long-term partnerships through consultative selling and value-added services.



Market Intelligence and Reporting




  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and emerging market needs.

  • Generate periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline progress, and market insights.

  • Provide feedback to management on customer requirements and product performance trends.



Compliance and Operational Excellence




  • Ensure adherence to company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.

  • Maintain accurate customer records, technical documentation, and call reports.

  • Promote brand reputation through professionalism and technical competence in all engagements.



JOB REQUIREMENTS



Education Requirement:




  • B.Eng. or HND in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or related discipline).

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in industrial lubricant sales, B2B account management, and equipment lubrication advisory.

  • Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of lubrication technology, applications, and performance parameters in industrial environments.



Skills and Competencies




  • Strong technical understanding of lubricants and equipment maintenance practices.

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Good presentation, communication, and report-writing skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) tools.

  • Self-motivated and target-driven

  • Willingness to travel extensively for client visits and technical support.
