Job Summary

  • We are seeking a reliable, smart, and diplomatic Truck Driver to support delivery operations across designated regions.

  • The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of major commercial and access routes — particularly Alakija, Tradefair, and Abule-Oshun — along with hands-on ability to diagnose and perform basic vehicle repairs.

  • This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to maintain professionalism when interacting with clients, security personnel, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate company trucks safely and efficiently to transport goods to assigned locations.

  • Plan delivery routes with consideration for road conditions, timelines, and security.

  • Maintain courteous and diplomatic conduct when interacting with customers, security agents, and other stakeholders.

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; identify and report mechanical issues promptly.

  • Perform first-level diagnostic checks and minor repairs to prevent delays.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, waybills, and inventory movement logs.

  • Safeguard all goods entrusted during transportation; ensure products are delivered in good condition.

  • Assist with loading and offloading where necessary.

  • Report incidents, traffic violations, or accidents immediately to the Operations Manager.

  • Maintain strict compliance with company safety policies and road regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent; additional training in auto-mechanics is an advantage.

  • Valid driver’s license and proven experience driving trucks.

  • Strong familiarity with Alakija, Tradefair, Abule-Oshun, and surrounding areas.

  • Ability to perform basic mechanical diagnostics and repairs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment on the road.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to remain diplomatic under pressure.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.

  • Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience transporting goods within commercial markets.

  • Ability to read delivery documents and provide accurate feedback.

  • Calm, composed, and solution-oriented during unexpected road situations.
