Job Summary
- We are seeking a young, passionate, and motivated Program Intern to support the project team implementing activities focused on Human Papillomavirus (HPV) prevention, awareness, and service uptake.
- The intern will support evidence generation, program coordination, stakeholder engagement, and development of communication and learning materials.
- This paid internship is ideal for budding professionals passionate about public health, health promotion, and community-level behavioral change initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct research, data gathering and organize articles and information for desk reviews on HPV prevention and vaccination.
- Assist with creating simple drafts or summaries for evidence briefs, fact sheets, and other materials.
- Handle general coordination tasks like setting up meetings, preparing materials, support during interviews, such as scheduling, note-taking, and organizing files afterward.
- Assist in putting together activity plans, agendas, presentations, and simple reports.
- Support logistics for training, workshops, and community events, including arranging venues, materials, and attendance lists.
- Keep project documents well organized by filing reports, updating trackers, and maintaining shared folders.
- Provide administrative and communication support to the project teams such as taking attendance, sending emails, follow-up calls and ensuring up-to-date documentation.
- Assist with basic administrative and logistics tasks like preparing procurement requests, organizing receipts, and helping track expenses.
- Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess;
- Minimum of a B.Sc. in Public Health (Health Promotion or Behavioral Science focus), Nursing, Pharmacy, or another clinical field with strong patient-interaction experience). An advanced degree is a strong advantage.
- Ability to perform simple data analysis tasks such as entering information into spreadsheets, organizing files, and assisting with basic data checks.
- Demonstrated qualitative research abilities, including evidence summarization and development of research-based materials.
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
- Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in work.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
