Job Description

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our factory facility in Sango Ota.

  • This is not a passive, instruction-driven role — we are looking for someone who takes initiative, identifies issues before they escalate, and drives improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and operational excellence.

  • The ideal candidate must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and fully accountable for the state of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance, safety, structural, and organizational issues early.

  • Coordinate, supervise, and follow up on repairs, maintenance, and improvement works.

  • Source reputable suppliers, artisans, and contractors, gather quotations, and compare options.

  • Make practical recommendations for facility upgrades and ensure effective execution once approved.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and orderliness across the premises.

  • Collaborate closely with maintenance, electrical, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

  • Ensure compliance with HSE standards across all facility activities.

  • Maintain proper documentation, logs, and Excel-based reports on facility activities, downtime, maintenance schedules, and completed tasks.

  • Prepare concise and accurate weekly/monthly reports for management.

  • Ensure all equipment, utilities, and critical infrastructure remain functional at all times.

  • Take full ownership of facility operations and proactively improve systems and processes.

Requirements

  • OND / HND / B.Sc. in Facility Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.

  • 3–7 years proven experience as a Facility Manager—preferably in a factory, industrial, or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of facility operations, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.

  • Hands-on experience coordinating artisans and technical teams (electrical, mechanical, housekeeping, etc.).

  • Ability to identify issues independently, propose solutions, and follow through without constant supervision.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to emergencies.

Proficiency in:

  • Microsoft Excel (log sheets, maintenance trackers, reports, analysis)

  • Record keeping & documentation

  • Basic reporting tools

  • Familiarity with HSE principles is an added advantage.

  • Must be proactive, reliable, detail-oriented, and improvement-driven—not someone who waits to be told what to do.
