Job Summary




  • This role is responsible for the efficient and effective management, supervision, and control of industrial production processes, ensuring that production targets and quality standards are met, overseeing staffing requirements, and providing supervision and direction to production casual employees for operational effectiveness. 



Key Result Areas (KRA): The key result areas of this role are:




  • Efficient and Effective stock taking

  • Careful handling of the Meal bagging production

  • Adequate supervision of Manpower

  • Proper stacking of the Meal (FIFO) and the gangway

  • Prompt attention to maintenance

  • Adequacy and accuracy of the record



Production & Housekeeping Responsibilities:




  • Operate the Meal Bagging Machine and supervise the entire production process.

  • Ensure the accuracy of the bag's weight

  • Ensure the Daily Production targets are met.

  • Overseeing daily stock taking.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping of the GO down.

  • Responsible for the Supervision of the labourers and meal Bagging during production.

  • Proper stacking of the Meal (FIFO) and the gangway.

  • Prompt calling of maintenance personnel in case of breakdown during production. 



People Management Responsibilities:




  • Responsible for arranging and ensuring the availability of production casual employees.

  • Regularly coaches and trains casual employees in your shift and ensures the proper supervision of their work and activities (e.g., Housekeeping, Product Arrangements, Production Activities, Ensuring Zero incidents of Truancy).

  • Guide the casual employees on the safe use of machinery and follow procedures.



The Person




  • A Bachelor's (B.Eng./ HND) degree in Mechanical Engineering or Sciences is required for this role. 

  • 3 to 5 years of proven production work experience.

  • Deep knowledge of production management and Experience in reporting on key production metrics.

  • Familiarity with ISO, GMP, AND SON compliance Guidelines.

  • Experience and knowledge of provincial health and safety standards.

  • Excellent supervision, communication (oral and written), Organization and leadership abilities, Self-motivated with a result-driven approach, problem-solving skills.
