About the job

• We need a Pediatric Nephrologist who will provide specialist care for infants, children, and adolescents with kidney and urinary tract disorders.


• The role involves diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of pediatric renal diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, nephrotic syndrome, congenital anomalies, and electrolyte disorders.


• The Specialist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.


• Residency in Pediatrics (FWACP Paediatrics / FMCP Paediatrics or equivalent).


• Subspecialty Fellowship training in Pediatric Nephrology from an accredited center.


• Valid and up-to-date medical license with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).


• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification is an added advantage.


• Proven experience managing both acute and chronic pediatric renal diseases.


• Experience in pediatric dialysis, renal biopsies, and transplant evaluation


• Expertise in diagnosing and managing kidney diseases in infants, children, and adolescents.


• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.


• Strong commitment to compassionate, child-centered care.
