ABOUT THE ROLE




  • The Programme Manager is a strategic, high-impact position responsible for designing, managing, and scaling LEAP Africa’s youth development and leadership programmes.

  • You will drive innovation, strengthen systems, inspire teams, and ensure that every programme delivers measurable, transformational impact.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



Strategic Leadership & Programme Design




  • Lead the conceptualisation and design of world-class programmes and curricula.

  • Develop frameworks that enhance programme quality, sustainability, and scale.



Programme Delivery & Impact Management




  • Oversee end-to-end programme implementation across multiple locations.

  • Manage timelines, budgets, reporting, and donor deliverables with excellence.

  • Facilitate training sessions and represent LEAP Africa at key engagements.



Team Leadership & Collaboration




  • Lead and mentor programme staff, fostering a culture of performance and innovation.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure synergy and optimal execution.



Partnerships & Resource Mobilisation




  • Build strong relationships with partners, funders, institutions, and stakeholders.

  • Develop high-quality proposals and contribute to fundraising strategies.



Advocacy & Thought Leadership




  • Create and contribute to articles, policy briefs, research products, and advocacy tools.

  • Amplify LEAP Africa’s voice in the youth leadership and social innovation ecosystem.



WHO YOU ARE



We are looking for someone who embodies both competence and character:




  • At least 10 years of programme experience, including 5+ years in youth development.

  • Proven excellence in programme design, project management, M&E, and facilitation.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • A strategic, solutions-oriented thinker with creativity and resilience.

  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.

  • Passionate about youth, leadership, innovation, and social transformation.
