Job Summary
- The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to business units within C&I Leasing Plc, aligning HR practices with organisational goals. The HRBP will support workforce planning, talent management, employee relations, performance optimisation, and HR operational excellence across the business.
- The role requires strong stakeholder management, business understanding, and the ability to influence people's decisions that drive productivity and organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce needs and develop people strategies that support business objectives.
- Provide data-driven HR insights to guide decision-making on talent, performance, and organizational design.
- Support change management initiatives, restructuring, and culture transformation.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning:
- Lead talent forecasting, succession planning, and capability development within assigned business units.
- Oversee recruitment needs, collaborate with Talent Acquisition, and ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend targeted learning and development initiatives.
Performance & Employee Development:
- Drive the performance management process—goal setting, mid-year reviews, appraisals, and continuous feedback.
- Coach managers on performance improvement strategies and employee development plans.
- Facilitate leadership development programs and competency building.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, conflict resolution, and ER cases.
- Promote a positive work culture aligned with C&I Leasing’s values.
- Implement engagement initiatives to boost morale, productivity, and retention.
HR Operations & Compliance:
- Ensure HR policies, processes, and documentation comply with Nigerian labour laws and company standards.
- Support payroll accuracy by validating employee movements (promotions, transfers, exits).
- Maintain accurate HR records and generate periodic HR reports and KPIs.
Organizational Development:
- Support business units in designing structures that improve efficiency and accountability.
- Drive initiatives that enhance productivity, operational excellence, and workforce capability.
- Facilitate workshops, trainings, and strategy sessions where needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years HR experience, with at least 3 years in an HRBP or advisory role.
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD) is an added advantage.
- Experience in outsourcing, marine, equipment leasing, or service-oriented sectors is a plus.
