POSITION OVERVIEW
- The business development manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and expanding our client base across residential, commercial, or tech-enabled real estate segments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties)
Business Growth & Revenue Generation
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, clients, and partnerships to meet company revenue goals.
- Analyze market trends to develop entry strategies and identify untapped segments (e.g., co-living, smart buildings, real estate developers, facility management firms).
Strategic Partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the real estate ecosystem — developers, landlords, brokers, tech vendors, and enterprise clients.
- Collaborate with partners to co-develop solutions that integrate with the company’s technology offerings (e.g., digital listings, property management tools, rental platforms).
Product & Market Alignment
- Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to provide market feedback and insights that influence roadmap development and positioning strategies.
- Conduct competitor analysis and customer feedback sessions to improve value proposition and client experience.
Sales Reporting/ Record keeping
- Maintain accurate sales and CRM records, track KPIs, and prepare regular reports for leadership.
- Deliver monthly/quarterly sales targets and growth forecasts.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with the Marketing team on lead generation campaigns, events, and brand awareness strategies.
- Collaborate with Legal and Finance teams to structure deals and ensure contractual compliance.
- KSA’s (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
- Strong knowledge of B2B sales.
- Strong understanding of the real estate value chain, including leasing, property management, and tech adoption trends.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Academic Qualification (Minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate Management, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within Property Tech, real estate, or technology startups.
