Job Description

Job Description

  • We are looking for an API-first Product Manager with experience in developer-focused products to own the strategy and execution of our Payments for Platforms offering.

  • Your mission will be to build a world-class, developer-centric product that enables SaaS companies, marketplaces, and other digital platforms to embed Verto's global payment and FX capabilities directly into their applications via our API.

  • You will be responsible for the entire developer journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the API Product Lifecycle: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle for our API-first products, from strategic planning and discovery to launch and iteration.

  • Champion Developer Experience (DX): Obsess over our API documentation, SDKs, sandbox environments, and developer onboarding process to ensure a seamless integration experience.

  • Engage with Partners: Work directly with the developer community and our platform partners to understand their needs, challenges, and use cases for embedded finance.

  • Define the Roadmap: Create and maintain the product roadmap, writing clear technical specifications, API contracts, and user stories for a developer audience.

  • Analyze Platform Metrics: Define and track key metrics (KPIs) such as API adoption rates, time-to-first-call, developer satisfaction, and transaction volume per partner.

  • Collaborate for Success: Work closely with engineering, design, compliance, sales, and go-to-market teams to build and launch a successful platform product.

What You Need

  • Proven API/Platform PM Experience: A track record of shipping successful API-first or developer-focused B2B products.

  • Deep Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of Payments-as-a-Service (PaaS) or embedded finance concepts. You must be comfortable with API design principles (REST), webhooks, and the technical architecture of platform-based products.

  • Technical Acumen: You are not required to code, but you must be able to hold your own in technical discussions with engineers about API design and system architecture.

  • Developer Empathy: A genuine passion for understanding and solving problems for a developer audience.

  • Excellent Communication: The ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Data-Driven Approach: Comfortable making decisions based on data in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Regulatory Familiarity: Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry is a strong plus.
