Job Summary
- The Head of Commercial is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the commercial success and market expansion of Springpet Homes.
- This individual will integrate sales, marketing, and business development functions to create a cohesive strategy that maximizes revenue, profitability, and market share.
- The role entails developing and executing the commercial roadmap, forging high-value partnerships, and leading a high-performance team to achieve aggressive growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth:
- Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy for the company, including sales, marketing, and business development.
- Define and achieve annual and quarterly revenue, sales, and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify new growth opportunities.
Sales & Channel Management:
- Oversee the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to closing, ensuring a seamless customer journey.
- Manage, mentor, and expand the sales team, setting clear KPIs and performance metrics.
- Develop and manage a high-performing network of realtor partners, creating loyalty programs and incentive structures to maximize channel sales.
- Marketing & Brand Positioning:
- Work with the marketing/communications team to develop compelling brand messaging and marketing campaigns that generate high-quality leads.
- Ensure all marketing collateral and digital presence effectively communicate the company's value proposition and unique selling points.
- Oversee pricing strategies for all projects to ensure competitiveness and optimal profit margins.
Business Development & Partnerships:
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, including joint ventures, land banking deals, and strategic partnerships with developers and investors.
- Lead negotiations for high-stakes contracts and partnership agreements.
- Explore and develop new business models or service lines (e.g., Property
- Management, Real Estate Investment Trusts).
Commercial Operations:
- Implement a robust CRM system to track sales performance, pipeline health, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular commercial performance reports to the GMD and board, offering data-driven insights and forecasts.
- Manage the commercial department's budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or Master’s is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a senior commercial role, with at least 5 years in the Nigerian real estate industry.
- A verifiable portfolio of previous projects and commercial achievements, demonstrating a history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that have significantly grown revenue and market share.
- Extensive experience in sales team leadership, channel management, and complex contract negotiation.
