Job Description
A fast-growing supermarket in Lagos, with multiple branches across the state, is seeking to recruit a highly experienced and competent Branch Manager. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 10 years cognate experience in retail business management, preferably within a supermarket, retail chain, or FMCG environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a managerial role within a supermarket, retail chain, or other structured retail environment.
- Minimum of B.Sc or HND in Business Administration, Management, or any related field.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service standards.
- Ability to drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and effectively manage staff.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the branch to ensure efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer satisfaction.
- Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high service delivery standards.
- Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate replenishment with the procurement team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare and present periodic sales, performance, and operational reports to management.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and customer-friendly store environment at all times.
- Implement strategies to grow revenue, reduce shrinkage, and enhance overall store performance.
