Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Motor Mechanic capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining all types of vehicles, including major brands such as Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, and others. The ideal candidate should have broad technical expertise across multiple makes and models and a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across a wide range of vehicle brands (e.g., Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, and more).
- Perform routine servicing and scheduled maintenance, including oil changes, brake service, fluid checks, and general safety inspections.
- Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, steering systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems.
- Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain clear and accurate service records, repair reports, and parts usage logs.
- Provide professional technical advice to customers regarding vehicle condition, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer standards and in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Keep the workshop area organized, safe, and compliant with workplace standards.
- Stay updated with new vehicle technologies, diagnostic methods, and repair techniques.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Certificate or diploma in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as a motor mechanic working with multiple vehicle brands.
- Strong understanding of petrol, diesel, hybrid, and light commercial vehicle systems.
- Proficiency with modern diagnostic equipment and repair software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s licence.
