A Quality Control Officer ensures that an organization’s products, services, and processes meet established quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. In a construction or production-focused environment (including pool construction, manufacturing, consulting, or service-based industries), the QA Officer is responsible for designing and monitoring quality systems that prevent defects, improve efficiency, and guarantee consistency.

Requirements 

HND, B.SC, or Post-Graduate qualification in:

• Civil Engineering 


• Building Management 


• Construction Management 


• Architecture


• Or any other related technical field.

Experience. 

• 3 - 5 years in quality assurance, quality control, construction supervision,  or similar roles.


• Experience with quality inspections in building or civil works is an added advantage. 


• Familiarity with construction standards (local building codes, project specifications, industry best practices).


• Able to work efficiently in a team


• Have the ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.

Technical skills. 

• Strong understanding of construction quality standards, testing methods and procedures.


• Engineering drawings.

Specifications. 

• Material test results.


• Methods statement. 


• Knowledge of quality control development such as ITs, checklists, NCRs, and corrective action reports.


• Understanding of material quality, workmanship standards, and compliance requirements. 


• Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS, Excel, Word)


• Construct regular inspections, to ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications 


• Verify the quality of materials delivered to the site and ensure they meet project standard 


• Document observations, prepare quality report, and maintain QA, QC records
