Job Description
A Quality Control Officer ensures that an organization’s products, services, and processes meet established quality standards, industry regulations, and customer expectations. In a construction or production-focused environment (including pool construction, manufacturing, consulting, or service-based industries), the QA Officer is responsible for designing and monitoring quality systems that prevent defects, improve efficiency, and guarantee consistency.
Requirements
HND, B.SC, or Post-Graduate qualification in:
- Civil Engineering
- Building Management
- Construction Management
- Architecture
- Or any other related technical field.
Experience.
- 3 - 5 years in quality assurance, quality control, construction supervision, or similar roles.
- Experience with quality inspections in building or civil works is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with construction standards (local building codes, project specifications, industry best practices).
- Able to work efficiently in a team
- Have the ability to resolve problems quickly and efficiently.
Technical skills.
- Strong understanding of construction quality standards, testing methods and procedures.
- Engineering drawings.
Specifications.
- Material test results.
- Methods statement.
- Knowledge of quality control development such as ITs, checklists, NCRs, and corrective action reports.
- Understanding of material quality, workmanship standards, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (MS, Excel, Word)
- Construct regular inspections, to ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Verify the quality of materials delivered to the site and ensure they meet project standard
- Document observations, prepare quality report, and maintain QA, QC records
