Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual fiscal budgets, internal controls, audit, tax returns/Compliance, inventory, payroll, receivables, payables, cash flow management to ensure smooth implementation of projects and operations.
- Consolidation of accounting information. Account reconciliations. Prepares financial monthly reports and management reports.
- Grant management and compliance. Plan and implement systems for financial operations in accordance with the donor regulations. Ensure compliance with donor policies and procedures.
- Supervises and trains finance staff.
- Preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining tax records, and providing tax planning advice to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
- Leads and supervises the finance and accounting teams.
- Fosters a culture of accountability and financial discipline.
- Works with other departments to achieve the overall objectives of the organisation.
Education and Experience
- A degree in accounting and finance is required
- Minimum of 4 years of professional working experience.
- Working knowledge of Peachtree.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ICAN is required.
- Applicants residing within the mainland axis and environs are preferred.
