Job Summary
- The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared and served according to quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
- The role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, controlling food costs, and supporting the Head Chef in smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff
- Ensure meals are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety at all times
- Monitor staff punctuality, discipline, and adherence to kitchen rules
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Assist in food stock control, inventory checks, and wastage reduction
- Report staff misconduct, shortages, or equipment issues to management
- Ensure timely preparation and service of meals
- Train new kitchen staff on kitchen procedures and hygiene standards
- Enforce compliance with hotel/restaurant policies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of HND / BSC(preferred)
- Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor, cook, or similar role in an hotel preffered
- Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to supervise and work under pressure
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good time management and organizationasational skills.
