Job Summary




  • The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food is prepared and served according to quality, hygiene, and safety standards.

  • The role involves supervising kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness, controlling food costs, and supporting the Head Chef in smooth kitchen operations.



Key Responsibilities




  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff

  • Ensure meals are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, sanitation, and safety at all times

  • Monitor staff punctuality, discipline, and adherence to kitchen rules

  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment

  • Assist in food stock control, inventory checks, and wastage reduction

  • Report staff misconduct, shortages, or equipment issues to management

  • Ensure timely preparation and service of meals

  • Train new kitchen staff on kitchen procedures and hygiene standards

  • Enforce compliance with hotel/restaurant policies



Qualifications & Requirements




  • Minimum of HND / BSC(preferred)

  • Proven experience as a kitchen supervisor, cook, or similar role in an hotel preffered

  • Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Ability to supervise and work under pressure

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Good time management and organizationasational skills.
