Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's team in Abuja.


• The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and deployment pipelines.


• You will play a strategic role in bridging development and operations, driving automation, reliability, and best-in-class DevOps practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure


• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery


• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools


• Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize build, release, and deployment processes


• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability; implement alerting and incident response processes


• Manage cloud and on-premise environments


• Implement and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines


• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and production issues


• Lead DevOps initiatives and mentor junior engineers


• Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and operational runbooks

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure roles.


• Strong experience with Linux/Unix system administration.


• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).


• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.


• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.


• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).


• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch, etc.).


• Solid scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Helm, ArgoCD, or GitOps workflows


• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancers, DNS, firewalls)


• Familiarity with security and compliance standards


• Experience supporting microservices and distributed systems


• Exposure to FinTech, SaaS, or high-availability environments


• Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning in cloud environments
