Job Summary




  • The Pharmacist Trainee works under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to gain practical experience in pharmaceutical services. The role involves supporting daily pharmacy operations, ensuring safe and effective medication use, and developing professional skills in patient care, dispensing, and regulatory compliance as part of a structured training program.



Key Responsibilities




  • Assist in dispensing prescription and over-the-counter medications under supervision

  • Accurately prepare, label, and package medications in accordance with legal and professional standards

  • Support medication inventory management, including stock control and expiry monitoring

  • Provide basic medication information and customer service to patients, referring complex queries to the supervising pharmacist

  • Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation

  • Assist with medication counseling and health promotion activities as appropriate

  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures

  • Participate in training sessions, evaluations, and continuous professional development activities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment



Qualifications and Requirements




  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent), or currently enrolled in an accredited pharmacy program (as applicable)

  • Basic knowledge of pharmacology, pharmaceutical calculations, and dispensing procedures

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team

  • Willingness to learn and accept supervision and feedback
