Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will, among others, do the following:
- Ensure effective and efficient use as well as proper handling of any assigned vehicle for optimum function always.
- Ensures assigned vehicle documents are valid, complete, and up-to-date always.
- Report any noticed faults, breakdowns, or part defects in the vehicle immediately and follow up until the repair or replacement is completed.
- Ensure prompt servicing of assigned vehicles and monitoring of the same for quality delivery.
- Ensure the correct and appropriate use of the vehicle for its intended purpose (s).
Personnel Specification
The candidate must:
- Possess a Senior School Certificate.
- Be a person of integrity, good character, discipline, and knowledge of traffic codes and signs.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of driving experience.
- Possessing a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive both lightweight vehicles (cars and buses) and trucks (16 – 22 tonnes) would be an added advantage.
- Primary school leaving certificate holders with good and impeccable knowledge of driving, with at least 10 years of driving experience, may equally apply.
- Possess excellent administrative and communication skills; must be a team player and able to coordinate team members to achieve expected results.
