Job Description
INDUSTRY: MANUFACTURING (PHARMACEUTICAL/VETINARY)
The Production Pharmacist will oversee the safe, efficient, and compliant manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, managing daily operations, ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulations, supervising staff, handling batch records/documentation, investigating quality deviations, and ensuring raw materials are adequate for production targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and monitoring dispensing of raw materials, monitor daily manufacturing activities, including compounding, filling, labeling, and packaging.
- Enforce GMP, maintain quality control procedure to meet regulatory and industry standards, conduct inspections, and manage deviations/complaints.
- Review and approve batch records, Certificates of Analysis (CoA), and ensure all production logs are accurate and complete.
- Train production personnel, enforce hygiene, safety, and good work culture.
- Check availability of raw materials, packing materials, and machine readiness.
- Participate in optimizing production processes and implementing new SOPs.
- Assist with internal audits, regulatory inspection and customer audits.
- Maintain accurate and complete record of production, quality control and regulatory activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, research and development, and regulatory affairs
Core Requirements:
- A degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory affairs, and pharmaceutical sciences.
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Attention to detail, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality management system.
