The Head, Credit & Marketing will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the organization’s credit operations and marketing functions. This role is responsible for driving customer acquisition, revenue growth, and market expansion while ensuring sound credit risk management and a high-quality loan portfolio. The position balances aggressive growth objectives with prudent lending practices, ensuring sustainable business performance and regulatory compliance.



Key Responsibilities




  • Develop and execute effective marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and brand growth.

  • Oversee end-to-end credit operations, including loan origination, appraisal, approval, disbursement, monitoring, and recovery.

  • Ensure the quality and performance of the credit portfolio through strong risk assessment and control measures.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support repeat business and long-term loyalty.

  • Lead, coach, and manage the credit and marketing teams to achieve set targets and performance objectives.

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive dynamics.

  • Monitor loan performance and implement proactive strategies to minimize non-performing loans (NPLs).

  • Collaborate with product development and management teams to design and roll out innovative loan products and marketing initiatives.

  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal credit policies.

  • Prepare and present periodic credit and marketing performance reports to management to support informed decision-making.



Requirements/Qualifications




  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Social Sciences.

  • Master’s degree and/or relevant professional qualifications in Marketing, Banking, Finance, or related fields will be an added advantage.

  • Proven experience in credit management, marketing, or business development within a financial services environment.

  • Strong understanding of credit risk management, loan portfolio monitoring, and recovery processes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and report-writing abilities.
