Position Overview




  • The Hotel Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality meals, ensuring consistency, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.

  • This role is vital in creating a memorable dining experience and maintaining the hotel’s culinary standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Plan and prepare menus that meet the hotel’s standards and guests’ expectations.

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and cleaners.

  • Ensure all food is prepared safely, following hygiene and health regulations.

  • Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage kitchen budget effectively.

  • Maintain consistency in taste, portion, and presentation of dishes.

  • Innovate new recipes and seasonal menus to enhance guest experience.

  • Collaborate with management on special events, banquets, and catering services.

  • Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness at all times.

  • Manage food costs, minimize waste, and ensure efficient kitchen operations.



Requirements




  • Proven experience as a chef in hotels, restaurants, or catering services.

  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferred.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Creativity and ability to develop new dishes.

  • Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.

  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high-quality standards.

Salary

N200,000 - N250,000 / month.
