Role Overview
- The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings, primarily for plumbing and piping works. The role is time-sensitive, with success measured by the ability to deliver outputs within a 48-hour turnaround time.This position requires a technically sound engineer who can interpret drawings independently and engage in site discussions with clients when required.Key
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and mechanical drawings
- Review plumbing and piping layouts for accuracy and constructability
- Analyze BOQs, drawings, and specifications to extract material quantities
- Support project discussions through site visits and client meetings
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and timely delivery
- Maintain high responsiveness, meeting a 48-hour SLA on assigned take-offs
- Participation in site meetings and technical discussions
Required Qualifications & Experience
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or related degree (mandatory)
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and piping systems
- Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings independently
- Experience producing quantity take-offs from construction drawings
- Familiarity with construction materials, fittings, and piping systems
