Summary

• We are searching for a dynamic and forward-looking Hostess to serve as the primary ambassador of our fine dining restaurant franchise.


• The ideal candidate will be highly focused on "vibe management" and elite networking, as our clientele often includes high-net-worth individuals, celebrities, and corporate executives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide a high-energy, sophisticated welcome (the "Lagos Welcome") that aligns with the restaurant's luxury branding.1


• Use popular platforms to manage bookings, ensuring VIP tables are prioritized and walk-ins are handled discreetly.2


• Optimize the dining room flow by balancing server sections while ensuring high-profile guests are seated in "prime" spots (e.g., booths or lagoon-view tables).3


• Monitor the lighting, music volume, and entryway cleanliness to ensure the "fine dining" atmosphere is maintained from the moment a guest walks in.


• Recognize "regulars" and dignitaries by name, remembering their seating preferences or dietary restrictions to provide personalized service.


• Assist guests with calling Ubers/private drivers, managing coat checks (where applicable), or providing information on local nightlife for after-dinner plans.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Minimum of OND/HND; a Bachelor’s degree


• Interpersonal: Exceptional verbal communication in English; ability to switch between formal and "Lagos-smart" social styles.


• Technical: Familiarity with POS systems and digital reservation logs.


• Poise: Ability to remain calm and elegant during "peak" rush hours (usually Friday/Saturday nights).


• Experience: 2–5 years in a customer-facing role (Aviation, High-end Retail, or Hospitality). Prior experience in a similar role at a fine dining restaurant in Lagos will be an added advantage.

Expectations

• The ideal candidate is expected to maintain an impeccable, "red-carpet ready" appearance.


• Must be aware of local social hierarchies, and "Who’s Who" in Lagos is a major asset for managing table assignments for high-profile guests.
