Job Summary
- The Assistant Head Chef supports the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high food quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow.
- The role requires strong culinary skills, leadership ability, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and menu execution.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure compliance with food preparation standards.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor food inventory, stock levels, and minimize wastage.
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to improve performance and skills.
- Step in for the Head Chef when required.
- Collaborate with management on menu planning and special events.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or assistant chef role is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
