  • Advise on regulatory considerations affecting technology-driven businesses, including fintech, digital platforms, and data-driven enterprises.

  • Draft and negotiate investment agreements, term sheets, SAFE instruments, and related documentation.

  • Support compliance with data protection, intellectual property, and technology-related regulations.

Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Lead or support legal aspects of mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.

  • Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents including SPAs, asset purchase agreements, and ancillary documents.

  • Support post-transaction integration and regulatory filings.

General Legal Advisory

  • Provide ongoing legal advice on commercial contracts, employment matters, and regulatory compliance.

  • Identify legal risks and propose practical, business-focused solutions.

  • Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and other stakeholders as required.

  • Support dispute prevention and, where necessary, early-stage dispute management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Barrister at Law (B.L); called to the Nigerian Bar.

  • Minimum of 7–10 years post-call experience, with demonstrable expertise in company law, technology investments, and M&A.

  • Prior experience in a top-tier law firm, in-house legal team, or advisory role supporting technology or investment-focused businesses.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate, commercial, and regulatory frameworks.

  • Experience working with start-ups, investors, or multinational organizations is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies
