Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve healthy meals for boarding and day students.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food storage areas.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of food items.
- Assist in managing kitchen supplies and minimizing food waste.
- Work in line with the school’s values, rules, and child protection policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a cook or chef, preferably in a school, hostel, or institutional setting.
- Ability to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals suitable for children and adolescents.
- Good knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to plan menus and manage food portions efficiently.
- Must be physically fit and able to work under pressure.
- Must be trustworthy, disciplined, and responsible.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must be a resident of Aba, Abia State.
