Job Description
Role Purpose
- To assist in supervising daily food production activities, ensure products meet quality and safety standards, and ensure production staff follow approved processes and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision:
- Assist in supervisingdaily production activities according to the production plan.
- Ensure production targets for quantity and timelines are met.
- Confirm recipes, portion sizes, and production methods are followed exactly.
Quality & Food Safety:
- Ensure all products meet approved quality, taste, weight, and appearance standards.
- Enforce hygiene, sanitation, and food safety rules at all times.
- Check raw materials and finished products for compliance before use or dispatch.
Staff Control:
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and conduct during shifts.
- Ensure staff wear proper uniforms and follow safety procedures.
- Report staff issues or shortages to the Production Manager.
Process Compliance:
- Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
- Prevent shortcuts, unauthorized recipe changes, or unsafe practices.
- Document production activities as required.
Inventory & Waste Control:
- Monitor usage of raw materials during production.
- Report low stock levels and abnormal usage.
- Record waste, rejects, and production losses accurately.
Equipment & Safety:
- Ensure equipment is used correctly and safely.
- Report equipment faults immediately.
- Ensure work areas are cleaned after each shift.
Qualifications & Experience
- OND / HND / BSc in Food Technology, Production, Catering, or related field.
- 1–2 years experience in food production, bakery, confectionery, or QSR.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and production processes.
