Job Summary
- The Store Officer is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of construction materials, tools, and equipment.
- The role ensures accurate inventory records, minimizes material losses, and supports uninterrupted construction site operations through proper stock management and compliance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Store Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials in the store.
- Maintain accurate stock records using bin cards, stock registers, or inventory software.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with records.
Issuance & Control:
- Issue materials strictly based on approved material requisition notes
- Monitor stock levels and prepare timely re-order requests to avoid shortages.
- Track material usage and report variances, damages, or losses.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain delivery notes, waybills, goods received notes (GRNs), and issue vouchers.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate store records.
Site Coordination:
- Liaise with procurement, site engineers, and subcontractors on material requirements.
- Coordinate material delivery schedules with suppliers and site teams.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to support construction timelines.
Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards in the store.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and secure store environment.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous or sensitive materials.
