Job Summary
The Account Officer will support the finance department in managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting. The role requires attention to detail, integrity, and a basic understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and documentation
- Assist with daily cash management, bank reconciliations, and postings
- Prepare payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts
- Support payroll processing and staff reimbursements
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and schedules
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents (physical and electronic)
- Support budget tracking and expense monitoring
- Assist during audits and provide required financial information
Requirements & Qualifications
- HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience (NYSC experience inclusive)
- Corps Members currently serving or recently completed are encouraged to apply
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to work with numbers accurately and confidentially
