Fellowship Overview




  • We are offering six (6) month fellowship opportunity in Nigeria for individuals passionate about communications and impact. The Corporate Communications Fellow will craft compelling narratives that strengthen Dev-Afrique’s brand, enhance stakeholder engagement, and support strategic initiatives. The role involves managing internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging aligned with organizational goals.



Key Responsibilities




  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and create engaging content for various communication channels. 

  • Support external communication, including press releases, media relations, and crisis communication. 

  • Create and curate content for the organization’s website, social media platforms, and other communication channels.

  • Support in organizing and coordinating global and regional events, conferences, and webinars to promote Dev-Afrique and its partners’ initiatives. 

  • Provide communication support for internal initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with Dev-Afrique’s goals. 

  • Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact on the organization’s objectives.



Requirements




  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.

  • Minimum three years of experience in corporate communications, Public Relations or related roles.

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong understanding of media relations and stakeholder engagement.

  • Familiarity with development sector and social impact initiatives is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
