Job Description
Role Summary
The Waitstaff will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service by welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The ideal candidate should be friendly, attentive, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a warm and professional manner
- Present menus and assist guests with menu selections when needed
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
- Serve meals and drinks promptly and correctly
- Check on guests during service to ensure satisfaction
- Clear and reset tables after guests leave
- Process payments and issue receipts where required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the dining and service areas
- Follow all health, hygiene, and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff
- Handle guest concerns politely and escalate when necessary
- Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is an advantage
- Ability to communicate clearly and fluently
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- POS knowledge is an added advantage
