Reports To: Hospitality Manager/Managing Director
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our lounge and café. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospitality or retail environment and be comfortable handling daily transaction records, vendor payments, staff expenses, and cash reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, cash, POS, and transfer transactions
- Reconcile daily takings with POS reports and bank deposits
- Track inventory purchases and update cost records
- Prepare and process supplier/vendor payments
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Maintain petty cash records and staff expense reimbursements
- Support payroll processing for lounge and café staff
- Reconcile bank statements and financial ledgers
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial summaries for management
- File and maintain financial documentation
- Monitor compliance with financial procedures and policies
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar role
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or FMCG business is an advantage
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational and record-keeping skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- OND/HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or relevant field
Added Advantage
- Knowledge of inventory and cost control
- Experience with POS systems and daily sales reconciliation
- Basic understanding of tax compliance and payroll

Remuneration
N130,000 gross . Review to be discussed after probation.
