ROLE OVERVIEW:
YSG Chicken Co. is seeking a responsible, experienced, and result-driven Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Akure Branch.
The Branch Manager will be responsible for sales performance, staff supervision, stock control, customer service, and ensuring that the branch operates efficiently, profitably, and in line with YSG Chicken Co.’s standards and policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Akure branch and ensure smooth business activities
- Supervise and manage branch staff (sales attendants, processors, cleaners, etc.)
- Ensure excellent customer service and handle customer complaints professionally
- Drive sales growth and meet weekly/monthly sales targets
- Manage inventory, stock movement, and cold room/freezer records
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and hygiene standards for frozen chicken products
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and pricing guidelines
- Monitor expenses and reduce wastage and losses
- Coordinate with head office on supply, logistics, and operational issues
- Ensure branch security, cash handling, and accountability
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum qualification: OND / HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 2–4 years experience in retail, food business, FMCG, or branch/store management
- Proven leadership and people-management skills
- Strong sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of stock management and record keeping
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Experience in frozen food, poultry, or meat business is an added advantage
