Role Description
- A Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and proper arrangement of guest rooms and public areas to ensure guest comfort and satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and balconies according to hotel standards.
- Make beds, change linens, and replace towels as required.
- Clean public areas such as corridors, lobbies, staircases, and restrooms.
- Replenish room supplies including toiletries, water, and amenities.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost items to the supervisor.
- Handle guest requests politely and professionally.
- Follow hygiene, safety, and infection-control procedures.
- Use cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies properly.
- Ensure proper handling of linen, uniforms, and cleaning materials.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy at all times.
Work Ethics & Conduct:
- Resume duty on time and follow assigned duty rosters.
- Wear clean uniforms and maintain good personal grooming.
- Adhere strictly to hotel rules, policies, and instructions.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in deep cleaning exercises when required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Management.
