Role Description
- The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of guest rooms and public areas in line with hotel standards.
Responsibilities
Supervision & Operations:
- Supervise daily housekeeping activities, including room attendants and cleaners.
- Allocate duties, prepare duty rosters, and assign rooms to housekeeping staff.
- Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
- Ensure rooms are properly prepared before guest check-in.
Quality Control:
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct routine room inspections and corrective follow-ups.
Staff Management:
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, and performance.
- Train and retrain housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, hygiene, and safety.
- Enforce housekeeping policies and service standards.
Inventory & Linen Control:
- Manage and control linen, towels, toiletries, and housekeeping supplies.
- Record and report shortages, damages, or losses.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of housekeeping items.
Maintenance & Safety:
- Report maintenance issues, damages, and faulty equipment promptly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment for staff and guests.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Prepare daily housekeeping reports and room status updates.
- Coordinate with the front office and maintenance departments.
- Handle guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping professionally.
Management Support:
- Carry out any other duties assigned by management in line with housekeeping operations.
