Job Purpose (Job Summary)
- To lead all surveying activities, ensuring accurate measurement, mapping, and documentation for construction projects. The Senior Land Surveyor oversees survey teams, validates data accuracy, and ensures all survey deliverables align with project designs, client specifications, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Conduct detailed land and engineering surveys to establish control points, boundaries, elevations, and topographical data for construction projects.
- Supervise and coordinate survey teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to technical standards.
- Verify and validate survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at project sites.
- Prepare and update survey reports, maps, and CAD drawings, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
- Use GPS, Total Station, and other modern surveying instruments to collect and analyze data accurately.
- Collaborate with project engineers, architects, and construction supervisors to integrate survey data into design and execution plans.
- Ensure compliance with national regulations, site HSE policies, and client quality standards.
- Monitor and report survey progress, project milestones, and challenges to the Project Manager.
- Maintain and calibrate survey instruments to guarantee precision and reliability.
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior surveyors and technicians, promoting skill development and teamwork.
- Resolve boundary and level discrepancies through proper analysis, referencing, and documentation.
- Coordinate with external survey consultants or agencies where specialized survey works are required.
