Job Summary

• We are seeking a compassionate and physically fit Patient Handler to support the safe movement and comfort of patients within the hospital. The ideal candidate will assist patients with mobility, transfers, and transportation while maintaining dignity, safety, and infection control standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transfer patients between beds, wheelchairs, stretchers, and medical equipment


• Assist patients with mobility, including walking and repositioning


• Transport patients to and from wards, diagnostic units, operating rooms, and clinics


• Support nursing staff with patient handling and basic non-clinical care


• Ensure proper use of lifting equipment and follow safety protocols


• Maintain cleanliness of wheelchairs, stretchers, and patient transport areas


• Observe patients and promptly report concerns or discomfort to medical staff


• Follow hospital policies on hygiene, infection control, and patient privacy

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE, HND, ND, or equivalent


• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare environment is an advantage


• Physically fit and able to lift or move patients safely


• Good communication and interpersonal skills


• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude


• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a healthcare team
