Job Summary
- We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented OPD Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Outpatient Department. The ideal candidate will support doctors during consultations, manage patient flow, perform basic clinical procedures, and ensure excellent patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, assess, and prepare patients for consultation
- Take and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, weight, etc.)
- Assist doctors during examinations and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed
- Perform wound care, dressings, and basic treatments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
- Ensure cleanliness, sterility, and infection control within the OPD
- Manage OPD supplies and report shortages
- Provide professional, courteous, and empathetic patient care
Requirements & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) license
- Minimum of 1–2 years OPD or clinical nursing experience
- Strong clinical and patient assessment skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- Professional attitude and respect for patient confidentiality
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
