Job Summary

• We are seeking a responsible and skilled Ambulance Driver to safely transport patients, medical staff, and equipment to and from medical facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure prompt emergency response, maintain the ambulance in excellent condition, and support medical teams during patient transport while adhering to road safety and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive the ambulance during emergency and non-emergency patient transport


• Respond promptly to emergency calls and follow designated routes


• Assist medical personnel with loading and unloading patients


• Ensure the ambulance is clean, fueled, and mechanically sound at all times


• Perform routine vehicle checks and report faults immediately


• Follow traffic laws while using sirens and emergency signals appropriately


• Maintain accurate trip logs and incident reports


• Support patient comfort and safety during transport


• Comply with hospital policies, safety regulations, and confidentiality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (Class appropriate for ambulance operation)


• Minimum of SSCE, HND or equivalent


• Proven driving experience; emergency vehicle experience is an advantage


• Good knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations


• Physically fit and able to assist with patient handling


• Calm, alert, and able to work under pressure


• Good communication and teamwork skills


• Defensive driving or emergency response training


• Basic First Aid or CPR certification (an advantage)


• Experience in a healthcare or emergency services environment
