Job Overview:

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with audit experience to support the financial operations of our hospital. The role involves assisting with accounting records, financial reporting, audit compliance, and ensuring accurate tracking of hospital revenues, expenses, and statutory obligations in line with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for hospital operations


• Record and reconcile patient billing, insurance claims, vendor payments, and bank transactions


• Support month-end and year-end closing processes


• Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits


• Assist with audit queries and implementation of audit recommendations


• Monitor hospital expenses, petty cash, and departmental budgets


• Support inventory accounting for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements


• Assist with VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory filings


• Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare facility


• Prior audit experience or exposure to audit processes


• Knowledge of IFRS and basic internal control procedures


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software


• Strong attention to detail and accuracy


• Good organizational and communication skills


• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
