Job Summary
- The Store and Inventory Officer is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and accurate tracking of inventory. The role ensures optimal stock levels, proper documentation, and compliance with company policies to support smooth operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and goods
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory management systems
- Issue materials as per approved requisitions and update stock balances promptly
- Monitor stock levels and initiate reordering to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Conduct regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials to prevent damage or loss
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and finance departments
- Prepare inventory reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company inventory procedures
- Identify and report obsolete, slow-moving, or damaged inventory
Requirements & Qualifications
- OND / HND / BSc in Store Management, Business Administration, or related field with a minimum of 2 years experience in inventory or storekeeping.
- Knowledge of inventory management software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
