General objective 



The Business Development Manager (BDM) identifies and pursues new growth opportunities for a company, focusing on expanding customer base, entering new markets, and increasing revenue through strategic planning, relationship building, and sales. They research prospects, forge partnerships, develop strategies, and work across teams (sales, design) to align services with client needs, often managing a team and overseeing the entire growth lifecycle from lead generation to closing deals.   



RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS




  • Opportunity Identification: Finding new markets, clients, partnerships, and services.

  • Strategy & Planning: Developing plans to reach new business, analyzing market trends, and understanding competitors.

  • Relationship Management: Building rapport with potential and existing clients, understanding their needs, and maintaining strong connections.

  • Sales & Pitching: Creating proposals, delivering presentations, and moving prospects through the sales funnel.

  • Collaboration: Working with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure client needs are met.

  • Market Intelligence: Staying updated on industry developments and competitor activities.

  • Team Leadership: Training and mentoring business development staff (if applicable). 

  • Any other assigned responsibilities by line manager



REQUIERED SKILLS




  • Language skills – English is essential.

  • Education degree – HND/Degree Business Management, Marketing or related field.

  • Work experience – Proven experience not less than 5–8 years in Business Development, FMCG/manufacturing experience is a plus. 

  • Computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel & Outlook



Other required skills. 




  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Analytical skills for market research and data interpretation.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience in sales, client relations, and business strategy.
