Role Overview
- The Assistant Head of the Training Academy supports the strategic and operational leadership of the Academy, ensuring the successful design, delivery, promotion, and growth of high-quality trainings
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Programme Development:
- Identify and develop training opportunities by engaging and coordinating subject matter experts
- Support the development of high-quality, competitive training proposals tailored to client and market needs.
- Ensure the creation and execution of an annual training calendar that is market-relevant, commercially viable, well-priced, and effectively promoted.
- Identify and define appropriate target audiences for training programmes to maximize impact and enrolment.
- Maintain a well-profiled, high-quality database of IT and Project Management training offerings and skills.
Academy Operations & Unit Management:
- Support the management and continuous improvement of Academy unit, including:
- Instructor-Led Training (ILT)
- E-learning and digital learning solutions
- Recruitment and outsourcing services for external clients
- Ensure quality delivery, operational efficiency, and alignment with Academy growth objectives.
Business Development, Marketing & Brand Growth:
- Support the strategic growth and positioning of the DJA Academy brand
- Coordinate digital marketing initiatives, including mailing lists, email campaigns, and targeted advertisements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform programme and pricing decisions.
- Leverage CRM tools for opportunity tracking, client history management, automated outreach, and data-driven insights.
Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain a rich, up-to-date client database.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including training managers, and end customers.
- Act as a trusted partner to clients, ensuring consistent service quality and long-term engagement.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior and executive-level clients.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance quality, revenue, and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication, coordination, and leadership capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: A good first degree in a relevant discipline.
- Professional Certifications: IT and/or Project Management certifications are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in training, learning solutions, academy management, professional services, or a related role.
