  • We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and customer-focused Business Development Officer to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving mortgage product sales, building strong client relationships, and expanding the bank’s market presence.



Key Responsibilities




  • Generate new business leads and pursue opportunities to grow the bank’s mortgage and housing finance portfolio.

  • Promote the bank’s mortgage products, savings plans, and related services to individuals, developers, cooperatives, and corporate clients.

  • Identify, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers, real estate agents, brokers, and stakeholders in the housing sector.

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and monitor industry trends.

  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.

  • Work closely with Credit, Legal, and Operations units to ensure smooth onboarding and timely loan processing for customers.

  • Ensure accurate documentation and submission of all loan applications and client information.

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and performance indicators.

  • Represent the bank at marketing events, exhibitions, and business forums.

  • Provide regular reports on business development activities, pipeline performance, and market feedback.



Qualifications & Requirements




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field.

  • 5-10 years experience in Business Development, Sales, or Marketing within a Mortgage Bank, Commercial Bank, Real Estate, or Financial Institution.

  • Good understanding of mortgage products, housing finance, and the Nigerian real estate market.

  • Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet sales targets.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Customer-oriented with excellent relationship management abilities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • High level of integrity, confidence, and self-motivation.
